The River Restoration and Wildlife Protection Program works to...Restore eroding streambanks to prevent loss of soil during high water flows, filter pollutants from runoff and provide shade.Develop stream enhancement plans for headwaters of the Harpeth in Eagleville and in subwatersheds including Five Mile Creek, South Harpeth, West Harpeth and Jones Creek. Safeguard dozens of unique species by identifying pollution sources and preserving the habitats of sport fish populations like bass, bluegill and sunfish as well as rare species of darter fish. |
