Recycling Information:
  • Aluminum cans go to all convenience centers and Shapiro's or Devandry's. Please crush empty cans.
  • Corrugated cardboard goes to all convenience centers. Please flatten boxes.
  • Newspapers and Magazines go to all convenience centers except Vanleer, Bowker Road and behind Dickson County Library.  Catalogs, paper- shredded, colored, white, computer, office, etc. and manila or white envelopes accepted.
  • Metals go to all convenience centers except Sylvis and Eno Road.  Tin food cans accepted at Charlotte and behind library in Dickson.
  • Used Oil goes to Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart Tire and Lube Express, Advance Auto Parts, Speed Lube, Auto Zone, and the landfill at 100 Virgil Bellar Drive in Dickson.
  • Plastics go to Sylvis Road, Charlotte locations and behind library in Dickson.  Check number on container; milk, soda, water, juice and tea bottles accepted. Please remove top and discard and crush bottle.
  • Used tires go to the landfill on Eno Road.
  • Store plastic bags should be returned to the store to be recycled.
  • Ink jet or laser toner cartridges go to Dickson Office Supply, Hwy 46.
  • Cell phones go to Dickson County Sheriff's Office or Women Are Safe Program.
  • Batteries: alkaline should be disposed of in trash, rechargeable batteries taken to library in Dickson and Courthouse Annex in Charlotte.
