The Outreach and Recreation Program works to:

Teach students, local leaders and landowners to make their respective spaces more "river-friendly."

Provide hands-on experiences where students can learn valuable science skills and gain an appreciation for their environment.

Offer adventurous field trips to allow members and the public to experience the natural landscape of the watershed while learning how to be river stewards.

Partner with numerous other organizations to create the Harpeth River Blueway to improve access and safety along the entire length of the river for public recreation.
