SUPPORT THE 2011 HARPETH
RIVER CLEAN UP CHALLENGE
Pledge Cash For Trash and be a part of HRWA's River Clean Up Challenge!

HRWA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible.
The
Historic May 2010 Flood caused enormous damage and left tons (literally) of debris in and near the Harpeth River. In 2010 HRWA identified collections of debris and rallied volunteers to donate more than 2,000 hours picking up nearly 80 tons of debris. While the easiest to get to debris was removed in 2010, at least that much is still out there (nearly 80 more tons).
For 2011,
we expect to get at least 40 more tons of construction debris (parts of houses, barns, sheds, household items, lawn mowers, bicycles, etc.). The cleanup season on the Harpeth River kicks off on February 26th with a cleanup on Flat Creek, River Plantation Section II in Belleview, but will continue at least until the end of May.
How the pledge works:
You can pledge a dollar amount per ton that our volunteers remove. So if you pledge a dollar a ton and we remove 60 tons you owe $60, if you pledge $5 a ton and we remove 40 tons you would owe $200. Make your pledge now, by filling out the form below and we will contact you June 1st, 2011 to let you know how many tons were removed. Pledge Amounts will be due in full by June 30th, 2011.
